Products You Need To Try From Makeup Revolution

Makeup Revolution seems to be killing it at the moment, they keep releasing good product after good product. It is the drugstore brand that I have the most makeup products from. I thought it would be a bit much to do a post where I talk about all the products I have from them so I thought I would just do a post full of the ones that I really recommend trying out. All these products I really love and use almost every time that I do my makeup.

HD Pro Cream Contour - Light/Medium, £10:
I wanted to start off by talking about my fave discovery from Makeup Revolution. I used to be scared of using cream products because of how bad my skin was but now I've converted because they give a natural, healthy look to your base. I am really quite fair, for reference in Mac I wear NC15, but I went for the Light/Medium because I like wearing a really strong contour. If you prefer a more natural contour and you are as pale as me then me then I would suggest picking up the Light version. What I really like about the HD Pro Cream Contour kit is how creamy in texture it is, the cream products are so easy to blend onto the face and layer really nicely. I normally set everything with a translucent powder but I did test it out without setting it and the creams lasted all day!!

I want to give a little breakdown on all the shades in this palette and what I use them for. The first shade I use for an under eye highlight & I really like it as it's the palest cream highlight I own. The second shade I use under my cheek contour to sharpen it up and to add a bit of highlight. The third shade is one that I don't use as it's too dark for me. The last shade on the top row is an orange toned brown which I like to use to blend my contour out with and use to bronze up my face. I normally use this with my Real Techniques Stippling Brush. The first two shades on the bottom row I switch between as my contour shade. The one next to that is the darkest shade in the palette, it's too strong of a contour for me and that's saying a lot from me! I think I'll get use out of it when I have a bit more of a tan. Last in the palette is a banana shade which I don't really use as I prefer more of a white under eye highlight so I only use it when I'm mixing it with the white shade.

Brow Pomade in Dark Brown, £6:
I really love my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade but I've almost run out of it and it's a bit on the pricey side so the Makeup Revolution pomade is one of the dupes I have been testing out. I have both brow pomades in Dark Brown and they are spot on the same shade. When it comes to formulation the Makeup Revolution one is stiffer so you have to work with it more. It does take a little bit more of effort to fill in brows but it's only a fraction of the price of the ABH one. I defo recommend giving it ago if you're looking for a good dupe. Also the Makeup Revolution one comes with a little double-ended brush which is great because you don't have to worry about buying a brush to use the pomade with. One side is rounded, which I haven't used, and the other side is a standard angled brush. Surprisingly it works pretty well and is a perfect size to throw in a travel makeup bag.

Skin Kiss Highlighter in Ice Kiss, £5:
I saw some reviews on this highlighter before I bought it and they all said it was a massive highlighter but I was still shocked when I got this in the post with how big it is. This highlighter contains 14g of product!! I really love this highlighter as it is an icy white shade, perfect for us pale skinned girls and is super pigmented. If I use a stippling brush to apply it can come off as a stripe so I like to use a fan brush as it can be built up to give a blinding glow. I put this highlighter on my cheeks, cupids bow, chin, my brow bone and inner eye highlight. I have found if I put it on my forehead it's a bit too glowy and sometimes comes off as patchy which is weird because I don't find that it comes off as patchy anywhere else. For £5 I think it's a really good and one that I recommend trying if you like a blinding highlight. It comes in 3 different shades and there is one that will suit every skin tone.

Renaissance Lipstick in Greatest, £4:
In my 4 Go To Lip Products post, I included one from Makeup Revolution, link to post here. I had to include another one in this post as even though they aren't the most long lasting lipsticks they are the creamiest lipsticks I've ever tried out. I defo recommend you trying them out as I think they are great value for the price. This one is in Greatest which is a true pink shade. I've found it lasts around 3 to 4 hours on me because of how creamy they are they transfer quite a bit when you eat or drink. It does feel so good on the lips, you don't need to worry about the condition of your lips you can throw this lipstick on! The Renaissance lipsticks smell really lovely as they smell like vanilla. I really do think these lipsticks are a steal and the pretty rose gold packaging is quite weighty so feels like it costs more than £4. If you do pick these up I recommend going for the more nudey shades because they fade down nicely unlike the one I have in a deep dark purple shade. It is very obvious when that one starts to come off.

So those were the four products from Makeup Revolution that I really recommend giving a go. Have you tried anything out from this brand? I'd love to know what products you really like from them.
